Biochemistry courses for undergraduate and post-graduate students: Introduction to physical biochemistry, organic chemistry, fundamentals of biochemistry, protein chemistry, enzymes, bioenergetics, cell membranes, nucleic acids, vitamins, immunochemistry, metabolism and its regulation, Instrumental analysis, nutritional biochemistry, toxicology, hormones, and analytical biochemistry.

Molecular biology for undergraduate and post-graduate students: System biology, DNA replication, DNA damage, DNA repair, mutations, RNA and protein biosynthesis, DNA cloning, bioinformatics, bioethics, and applications of Nano science in biotechnology.

Research interests

Quantitative determination of pesticides and drug residues using HPLC, Capillary electrophoresis, GC, and Super Fluid Chromatography (SFC).

Molecular biology techniques:
* Separation of proteins using FPLC and electrophoresis.
* Solid phase amino acid sequence using HPLC with UV detector and electrochemical detector.
* Isolation and characterization of DNA and RNA.
* PCR and reverse transcription PCR.
* DNA sequence and bioinformatics.

Spectroscopic techniques using UV, IR, NMR, GC MS, and FT IR instruments.

Radio tracer techniques using sample oxidizer, LSC, and Electronic Autoradiography (Instant Imager).

Designing experiments using animal models and some experience in tissue culturing technique.
