Research Interests

irradiation biology of insect pests which include the use of gamma irradiation in the fields of ; the sterile male technique method; the sterile insect release method; inherited sterility.

integrated pest management of field crops .

use of cold susceptibility of immature stages of stored product pest for their control .

evaluation of naturally occurring anti-feeding compounds in plants as means of insect pest control and as protectants of grains against stored product pests. Lepidoptera insect pest relative abundance and dynamics and their reproductive potentials in the wild is another field of interest.

Integrated pest management of transplanted cotton plants using insect predators, parasites, insect growth regulators, anti-moulting compounds, biocides, and insect pheromones is another field of study.
