 RCB observes Blind Day |

| In collaboration with Resala Charity Association, the Fayoum University's Rehabilitation Center for the Blind (RCB) organized on Wednesday, March 23, 2011 a festive day for the pupils of the School for the Blind and Visually-Impaired. The event which marked the Blind Day was held under the auspices of Professor Ahmed El Gohary, President of Fayoum University. "This celebration aims to thrill blind children as well as giving them an opportunity to exhibit their hobbies and talents in a way that makes them contribute positively to their community", remarked Prof. Sanaa Harun, director of RCB. Moreover, students from Fayoum University partook in the event and spent a good time with children. The event also featured a huge throng of the blind's teachers, families and friends. The event commenced with a recitation of some verses of the Holy Quran, followed by some pleasant songs performed by some gifted children. The event concluded with a present-giving ceremony. |
