 Basic Sciences Lecturer gives tips on loss of appetite for children |

| The Asafer al-Jana Kindergarten hosted a seminar on causes of loss of appetite for children. The event took place in the Child's Theatre on Tuesday 25 October 2011. It was held under the supervision of Dr. Sahar Fathy Abdel-Mohsen, director, Unit for Childhood and Motherhood Studies. It was given by Dr. Mohammad Ezzat Abuel-Azm, lecturer of Basic Sciences, Faculty of Early Childhood Education. He gave tips on causes of loss of appetite for children and ways to help children regain their appetites. The reasons for your child's loss of appetite may vary, but asking him/her what he/she wants to eat--making sure he/she includes some healthy choices in his/her list--and encouraging him/her to help you prepare meals and snacks may help him/her feel like eating more, he said. He also mentioned a number of ways to help children regain their desires to eat, including: -Encourage physical activity -Schedule a checkup and adjust medication -Have healthy food rich in vitamins |
