| The Faculty of Engineering's Department of Architectural Engineering opened its Annual Architectural Exhibition titled "The Day of the Department" in the presence of top department faculty, staff members and students. The event was inaugurated by Dean of Faculty of Engineering Professor Ayman Shahin, Vice-Dean for Education and Students' Affairs Mohammad Essa, and Vice-Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research Sherif Al-Attar. The exhibition showcased the Department's student projects which reflected the 25th January Revolution. Some models represented the main entrance to the Tahrir Square while others represented some national projects such as the Technology and Science Valley. Designed and developed by the students under the supervision of department faculty members, some models focused on some provincial projects such as the Unsafe Areas Development Project. Commenting on the event, Dean Shahin said: "These projects reflect the harmony that existed among the students and their faculty members, thus they have attained distinction ". Seizing the opportunity, Professor Ayman Ismael unveiled the availability of summer training programs for department's students in collaboration with the Faculty of Engineering and the Ministry of Communications. At the end of the event, students honored Dr. Maged Abuel-Ella, exhibition coordinator, in recognition of his outstanding efforts to make the event a success. |
