| Pursuant to the scientific Memorandum of Understanding signed by Fayoum University and Kumamoto University, Prof. Dr. Ahmed El Gohary, President of Fayoum University received on Tuesday 17/2/2009 a Japanese delegation from Kumamoto University. Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Kamal, Dean of Faculty of Medicine accompanied the Japanese delegation, which was composed of Dr. Shinji Harada, Dean of Faculty of Medical and Pharmaceutical Sciences and Dr. Tanihera, Vice-dean of Faculty of Medical and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Kumamoto University, in a tour inside the campus. They watched the University Council Hall, the Grand Convention Hall, and the New University Hospital, where they inspected the departments of Radiology, Ophthalmology, Cardiology, Catheterization and Kidney Dialysis Unit. The guests voiced their great admiration for the infrastructure of the university. Then, the guests gave two lectures on glaucoma "high eye pressure," and HIV with regard to the virus that causes the side effects that cause HIV to humans. The lectures were attended by a number of some doctors of departments of Clinical Pathology, Microbiology and Ophthalmology and interns. |
