In his maiden visit to Fayoum University in March 2007, Former Prime Minister Ahmed Nazif laid down the foundation stone of the Fayoum University Hospital.

In his second visit to Fayoum University on September 16, 2010 Former Prime Minister Ahmed Nazif opened the hospital as a fully-fledged facility after being treated architecturally in a way that suits its mission as a teaching hospital.

It is worth mentioning that establishing another building for the University Hospital next to the Faculty of Specific Education is underway.
