Students of Egyptian universities have a role and a great ability to contribute
effectively to development of their society as they poses both scientific and
research tools that can help them in fulfilling this role, so the National
Population Council seeks through the launch of “The university pioneer”
initiative to coordination between the Egyptian universities and the Ministry of
Health and Population to achieve the following objectives

Enable university students to understand the challenges of their
communities and to identify their roles in contributing to overcome these
challenges in cooperation with governmental institutions.
·
Appreciating the positive role of the university youth in the
development of the society to improve the demographic characteristics and that
is done by:
o
The participation of university students in awareness campaigns in
their universities and the neediest administrative centers, in their provinces
without affecting their studying duties.
o
Participation in monitoring the implementation of the various
awareness activities in coordination with the branches of the National Council
of population in each province.
o
Training youth to identify the main problems of their society and
to participate in finding innovative solutions to overcome various challenges.
o
Training on different population and health awareness programs
