أولًا: الرسالة:
إعداد خريج يمتلك مهارات البحث والتحليل والتحقيق والنقد باستخدام الأساليب المعرفية الحديثة في حقل الدراسات التاريخية، وقادرًا على المنافسة محليًا وعالميًا، وتأهيله للعمل بالمؤسسات المختلفة التعليمية والثقافية والإعلامية من خلال برنامج تدريبي تحويلي؛ لتحقيق أهداف التنمية المستدامة؛ على اعتبار أن التاريخ أساس العلوم المختلفة. مع الحفاظ على الهوية العربية والإسلامية والوطنية، والقيم المجتمعية، وتقديم المعرفة التاريخية الصحيحة التي تُعين على فهم وحل العديد من المشاكل التي تواجه تطور المجتمع من خلال التقنيات الحديثة.

ثانيًا: الأهداف:
1- تنمية الوعي القومي لدى الخريجين من خلال دراسة تاريخ مصر عبر العصور، ودور التاريخ في الحفاظ على الهوية الوطنية.

2- تأصيل قيم المواطنة وتعزيز الهوية العربية والإسلامية.

3- تفعيل البحوث التاريخية في ضوء التقنيات الحديثة في مجال العمل التاريخي.

4- تقديم برامج دراسية متطورة تسهم في إعداد كوادر مؤهلة تحقق أهداف خطط التنمية المستدامة، وتُلبي حاجات سوق العمل.

5- فهم أخلاقيات البحث العلمي والممارسة المهنية في مجال التاريخ.

6- إكساب الطلاب المهارات البحثية اللازمة للتواصل والتعاون مع المجتمع المحلي واقعيًا، وإلكترونيًا، من خلال التعامل مع الوثائق والمصادر التاريخية المختلفة.

7- الإسهام في حماية التراث الإنساني مما يتعرّض له من محاولات التشويه، والتزوير، والطمس، والتحريف؛ من خلال جمع وتحليل واستخدام المعلومات المختلفة باستخدام تكنولوجيا المعلومات الحديثة.

8- تشجيع طلاب برنامج التاريخ على الدراسة الميدانية بالمشاهدة المباشرة للبيئة الأثارية والتراثية. مع ممارسة الوصف والتحليل للأحداث والوقائع التاريخية.

9- إعداد خريج يمتلك المهارات الأكاديمية والمهنية والأخلاقية التي تؤهله لتدريس العصور التاريخية المختلفة في كافة المراحل التعليمية.

10- المشاركة في التعرف على أهم القضايا والمشكلات ذات الجذور التاريخية، والمساهمة في وضع الحلول المناسبة من خلال البحوث والمؤتمرات العلمية.

:The Mission

Prepare a graduate who possesses the skills of research, analysis, investigation and criticism, using modern cognitive methods in the field of historical studies, and who is able to compete locally and globally, and-qualify him/her to work in various educational, cultural and media institutions through a transformative training program, in order to achieve the goals of sustainable development, given that history is the foundation of different science; in addition to preserving the Arab, Islamic and national identity and social values, and providing correct historical knowledge that helps understand and solve many of the problems facing the development of society through modern technologies

Develop national awareness among graduates through the study of Egyptian history throughout the ages, and the role of history in preserving national identity -

Consolidate the values of citizenship and strengthen Arab and Islamic identity -

Activate historical research employing modern technologies in the field of historical work -

Provide advanced study programs that contribute to preparing qualified cadres that achieve the goals of sustainable development plans and meet the needs of the labor market -

Understand the ethics of scientific research and professional practice in the field of history -

Provide students with the research skills necessary to communicate and cooperate with the local community in real life and electronically, by dealing with various historical documents and sources -

Contribute to protecting human heritage from attempts at distortion, forgery, obliteration, by collecting, analyzing and using various information using modern information technology -

Encourage history program students to conduct field studies, directly observing the archaeological and heritage environment, practically describing and analyzing historical events and facts-

Prepare a graduate who possesses the academic, professional and ethical skills that qualify him/her to teach different historical eras at all educational levels -

Identify the most important issues and problems which have historical roots, and contribute to developing appropriate solutions through scientific research and conferences -
