On Wednesday afternoon, a lecture was given by Sheikh Hazem Shoman and Sheikh Adel Nasr at the Fayoum University Main Hall. The event was organized by the General Department of Youth Welfare in collaboration the Forsan Al-Haq Society. It was attended by Professor Sayed Abdul Tawab, advisor of University Student Activity, Dr. Wagih Al-Shaimy, professor of Islamic Law, and a number of preachers. Also, the lecture was attended by thousands of students. Opening the lecture, Adel Nasr urged university students to cooperate and collaborate for the good of Egypt. Following, Hazem Shoman took the floor. He voiced his happiness for visiting Fayoum Campus. Addressing students, Shoman called on them for exerting more efforts to bring a bright future for Egypt. About sectarian feuds which surge Egypt at the moment, he noted: "Egypt is for all Egyptians, Muslims and Christians; Islam is against all forms of violence, and hence all those found guilty must face the music." He also advised all Egyptians – Muslims and Christians – to cooperate and forget all disputes among them. “Israel is our sole enemy,” he affirmed. About the January 25 Revolution, he said:" Our youth has become a role model for all world peoples as they have accomplished an impossible mission." At the end, the guests and the attendees engaged in a lively give-and-take. |
