Founding Committee of Montamy Lwatny Society Holds First Meeting |

The members of the Founding Committee of Montamy Lwatny Society held its first meeting in the Student Activities Hall of the Faculty of Dar Al Uloom Student Union on Sunday, July 17, 2011. The event was held under the supervision of Dr. Yasser Hashish, Advisor to the Supreme Societies Committee. The meeting was attended by Director-General of Faculty of Dar Al Uloom Gomaa Abdul-Maboud, as well as a huge throng of students namely Mohammad Mahmoud El Sayed, Aya Sayed Fathy, Khadiga Mohammad Yasin, Amany Gomaa Eid, Hoda Mohammad Abdul-Attay, Somia Sayed Abdul-Tawab, Asmaa Ali Farouk, Somia Ahmed Abdullah, Khairy Ahmed Moawed, Ahmed Goda Abdul-Alim, Mahmoud Abdullah, and Ibrahim Ali Abdul-Halim.Tayel Ahmed Awad, an archeology student, was present, too. On his part, Mr. Gomaa Abdul-Maboud furnished a room to host the meetings as per the consent of Dean of Faculty of Dar Al Uloom Rabie Abdul-Aziz. The meeting began with a brainstorming session in which all information relevant to the society since its inception was reviewed. The members agreed on the following points: 1-The society must be centralized. 2-The membership of the Society is open for all university students. 3-The Founding Committee Members will be in their positions after formulating the entire society. 4-The number of the Founding Committee must not be less than 28 students. 5-New secretaries will be elected in the first meeting after inaugurating the union. 6-The Society must create links with all alumni. 7-A number of students will be responsible for administrating the Society's Facebook Page, namely Mohammad Mahmoud El Sayed, Aya Sayed Fathy, Wael Mansour, and Ibrahim Ali Abdul-Halim. Moreover, they agreed on the basic principles of the Society's Mission: 1-Promoting the student activities rendered by Fayoum University. 2-Demonstrating a sense of harmony among the political and intellectual currents. 3-Activating the University's role in developing a sense of unity. 4-Developing a well learned generation of graduates believing in tolerance and moderation. 5-Builing a generation of graduates serve as a bulwark against internal strife and external pressures. |
