Malaysian delegation visits Faculty of Dar Al Uloom |

As part of its ongoing efforts to attract more international students, the Faculty of Dar Al Uloom received a delegation from Malaysia on Sunday 29th of January 2012. The visit was coordinated by Professor Salah Eldin Nawar, Chair of Department of Islamic History. The delegation was composed of Mr. Abdel-Khaled, a businessman, Fakhr Al-Razy, a student at Al Azhar University, and Mohammad and his wife Ehsan, students of Al-Azhar University. Upon their arrival, they held a meeting which was attended by Dr. Yassar Hashish, Director of Quality Assurance Unit (QAU), and Professor Abdel Bary Mohammad Al-Taher. Opening the meeting, Professor Salah Nawar gave a summary about the Faculty of Dar Al Uloom, its vision, mission, and programs. He also said: "The Faculty of Dar Al Uloom has a team of highly respected teaching staff members specializing in Arabic language, and Islamic studies. Since its inception in 1989, hundreds of students have graduated from the faculty and worked for different sectors." Also, the Faculty of Dar Al Uloom is working on promoting education quality in Egypt and abroad, he added. Following, Dr. Yasser Hashish took about the latest developments which have been introduced to undergraduate and graduate programs. Speaking during the meeting, Mr. Abdel-Khaled expressed his happiness for visiting Fayoum University, hoping that the University will offer opportunities for Malaysian students who seek to join it in the near future. He also said: "Fayoum University boasts a beautiful campus and is one of best institutions he has ever visited." After the meeting, Professor Salah Nawar accompanied the delegation to meet the University President who pledged to provide facilities to Malaysian students who would like to join the university community. It is worth mention that Shiekh Atef, a lecturer and a doctorate-level student, interpreted the dialogue from Arabic to Malay language. |
