    Faculty of Dar al-Uloom holds Alumni Day and 2nd Employment Fair

    The Faculty of Dar al-Uloom held an Alumni Day as well as a job fair on Tuesday, May 14, 2013. The event took place in the Al-Khalil ibn Ahmad al-Farahidi Hall. It was inaugurated by Professor Abdel Hamid Abdel Tawab Sabry, President of Fayoum University. Present at the event were Professor Farid Awad Hedar, Vice-President for Community Service and Environment Development, Professor Mamoon Abdel Halim, Dean of the Faculty of Dar al-Uloom, Dr. Walid Shaimy, Director of Alumni Affairs Unit, Prof. Saber Mashaly, Director of Quality Assurance Unit (QAU), Dr. Nabila Marzouk, Director of Career Development Center (CDC), directors of units of alumni affairs, representatives of some companies and corporation, some faculty members and a big number of students. A big number of employers and institutions were present, such as Al-Awal Langauge Schools, Al-Islamia Private Schools, Al-Resala Private Schools, Al-Safwa Institute, The Royal Academy for Training, Ibdaa Center for Human Resources, Key Office for Technical Development, Career Development Center, Al-Orman Smart Schools, Quran Science Center, Al-Diwan Cente for Arabic Language, Al-Falah Center for Documentation of Heritage, Al-Andalous Schools Complex, Al-Rewad Private Schools, and Al Eman Language Schools. The event was moderated by Mr. Mohamed Abdel Rahman Mohamed, assistant lecturer of Rhetoric and Criticsim and Director of the Information Center and the E-Portal of the Faculty of Dar al-Uloom. It features speeches by Ms. Somia Ashour, who delivered the Alumni Address, Dr. Said Shaimy, who talked about the role of the Alumni Affairs Unit in providing training as well as job opportunities for fresh graduates, Dr. Magdy Abdel Rahim, who spoke about the opportunities offered by some schools in Fayoum. Also, it featured remakrs by Dr. Mamoon Wagih who highlighted the role of knowledge in the welfare of nations. He also stressed the role of the Arabic Language for being the language of the Holy Quran. He furthermore encouraged students to advocate the Arabic language and to do their best to help it restore its elegance and superiority. In his remarks, the University President extended his thanks for those who helped the fair be a success. He also hoped that the Faculty of Dar Al Uloom would get accreditation. He also called for fruitful cooperation between the University Alumni Affairs Center and the CDC in order to develop a versatile, dynamic and efficient generation of graduates. Furthermore, he thanked the institutions participating in the event for their contributions. The event, moreover, featured a signing ceremony of some cooperation agreements between some educational institutions, on the one hand, and the Faculty of Dar al-Uloom-based Alumni Affairs Unit, on the one hand.
