International Terra Madre Day Celebrated

The Asafeer el-Jana Nursery of the Faculty of Early Childhood Education, in collaboration with Slow Food Fayoum Convivium and the Fayoum Agro Organic Development Association (FAODA) held a celebration to mark the International Terra Madre Day, a day for celebrating eating locally. The event was organized under the supervision of Dr. Sahar Fathy abdel Mohsen, Director of Motherhood and Childhood Studies Unit (MCSU). A big number of high profile figures attended the celebration. Present at the event were Dean Adly Sedawy, Vice-Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research Hosam El-Din Abuel Hoda, Vice-Dean for Education and Students' Affairs Ragab Ali Shabaan, Lecturer of Basic Sciences Mohammad Ezzat Abuel Azm, Director of FAODA Mohammad Al Madney, as well as a Slow Food team. The event began with a welcome note given by Dr. Adly Sedway. It was followed by a note given by Eng. Mohammad Al Madney who highlighted the importance of healthy food. Also, Abuel Azm talked about the importance of having salad in our diet.
