Last Monday (17/10/2011), the Faculty of Education held a seminar on the "Peer Education Program", a program designed to promote students' linguistic skills in both Arabic and English languages, as well as honing their statistical analysis skills. About 350 fresh students majoring in general and basic education attended the event. The seminar was given by Dr. Amal Gomaa Abdel-Fattah, lecturer of Curriculum and Instruction. The seminar tackled a number of points, namely: peer education as a concept, different forms of peer education, and the importance of peer education. It is worth mentioning that the Peer Education Program aims to: -promote students' participation in Peer Education Program to achieve quality of education rendered at the Faculty of Education; -get students familiar with the nature of peer education; -develop linguistic skills as well as statistical analysis skills; and to -achieve a good level of satisfaction among students and other beneficiaries regarding the learning outcomes of the Peer Education Program. |
