| The Fayoum University Faculty of Education invites applications for its postgraduate programs (Graduate Diploma, Master and PhD programs) for the academic year 2008/2009. Admission Requirements 1. One-year General Diploma in Education 1.1 A good bachelor's degree of science/ arts and education from an Egyptian University or an equivalent from an accredited institution and approved by the Supreme Council of Universities (SCU). 1.2 Pass successfully all the faculty admission tests. 1.3 The applicant must state the discipline in which he wants to enroll: 1 Arabic Language and Islamic Studies 2 English Language 3 French Language 4 General Division 5 Social Studies (History + Geography) 6 Philosophy & Sociology 7 Mathematics 8 Science 9 Commercial Studies Duration: The program can be taken on a full-time basis over one academic year. It can be also taken on a part-time basis over two academic years. 2. Professional Diploma 2.1 A good bachelor's degree of science/ arts & education OR good general diploma in education from an Egyptian University or an equivalent from an accredited institution and approved by the SCU. 2.2 The applicant must state the discipline in which he wants to enroll: 1-Special Education 2- Curricula and Programs of Education 3-Educational Technology 4- Quality Assurance 5- Counseling Psychology & Educational Guidance 6- Adult Education 7-School Psychic Specialist 8- School Administration Duration: one academic year 3. Special Diploma 3.1 A good professional diploma in education 3.2 Pass successfully admission (a) language test and (b) computer skills test. 3.3 The applicant must state the discipline in which he wants to enroll: 1 Foundations of Education 2 Mental Health 3 Comparative Education 4 Child Education 5 Curriculum and Methodology 6 Educational Psychology 7 Educational Administration 8 Educational Psychology -Duration: one academic year 4. M.A 4.1 A good special diploma in education from an Egyptian University OR an equivalent from an accredited institution and approved by the Supreme Council of Universities (SCU). 4.2 The applicant must hold the TOEFL Certificate which can be awarded from the Language and Translation Center of the Faculty of Arts, Cairo University, or the AMIDEAST. ICDL certification is mandatory. Admission is based on passing all M.A. courses successfully. 5. PhD 5.1 A very good M.A degree in an educational field from an Egyptian University or an equivalent. 5.2 The applicant must state the discipline in which he wants to enroll: 1-Curriculum and Methodology 2- Educational Technology 3-Mental Health 4- Educational Psychology 5- Foundations of Education 6- Comparative Education 7- Policies and Administration of Education 8- Child Education Note: Each applicant must submit the documents required and pass the exams to be held by the Faculty. Documents to be submitted to the Postgraduate Studies Department, with an application letter to the attention of Prof./ Dean of Faculty of Education enclosed.
