U.S. Embassy Delegation visits Education School |

Professor Ahmed Taha Mohammad, Dean, Faculty of Education, received a delegation from the Embassy of United States in Cairo. The delegation included Assistant Cultural Attaché Michael Hankey, U.S. Embassy Public Affairs Officer Patricia Kabra, U.S. Embassy Cultural Affairs Assistant Officer Hanan Asaad, and Anderson Dennis, an employee at the U.s. Embassy in Cairo. The visit aimed to follow-up and monitor progress of the Service Learning Project, a partnership program co-launched by the University of Maryland and Fayoum University. A big number of project executives attended the meeting, namely Service Learning Project Executive Director Mohammad Abdel Tawab Abuel-Nour, Service Learning Project Executive Assistant Director Amal Gomaa Abdel Fattah, and Service Learning Project Executive Assistant Director Ahmed Sayed Abdel Fattah. The event was also attended by the project board members, including Dr. Nabila Ali Marzouk, Lecturer, Faculty of Arts, Prof. Wedad Azab Metry, Professor, Faculty of Agriculture, Dr. Mahmoud Korny, Associate Professor, Faculty of Dar Al Uloom, Dr. Naglaa Al Sherbiny, Associate Professor, Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Magdy Rashad Abdel-Ghany, Lecturer, Faculty of Arts, Dr. Salah Mohammad Gomaa, Lecturer, Faculty of Education, Dr. Khaled Abdel Hamid Selim, Lecturer, Faculty of Agriculture, Mr. Emad Mohammad Abdel-Salam, Assistant Lecturer, Faculty of Social Work, and Mr. Sayed Al-Sherif, a journalist and teacher at the Azza Zidan Experimental Language School and Service Learning Project Press Officer.
