Seminar focuses on civic education |

Jointly, the Directorate of Youth and Sport, Division of Management of Parliament and Service Learning and The Faculty of Education held a seminar on "Civic Education". The seminar was titled Change, Goal and Freedom between Responsibility and Chaos", given by Mr. Ismael Ismael. The seminar, part of the Civic Education Project which is a collaborative effort between Fayoum University and the University of Maryland, USA, was attended by Project Coordinator Professor Mohamed Abdl Tawab Abo ElNour, Vice Dean for Education and Students' Affairs. He talked about the project, its organizational structure, goals, and activities. He also highlighted the concept of service learning and its sub issues which include tolerance, democracy, citizenship and political participation. Also, Dr. Magdy Rashad Abdel Ghany, lecturer, Faculty of Arts, spoke about change, and the desired goal. At the end, Dr. Amal Gomaa Abdel Fattah, lecturer, Faculty of Education, shed light on the issue of freedom as a responsibility. |
