New Batch of Basic Education Students Graduate |

A new batch of basic education students graduated last Thursday, May 10th in a ceremony held at the Said Soliman Hall. In attendance was Vice-President for Education and Students' Affairs Professor Khaled Hamza, and Vice-Dean of Faculty of Education for Education and Students' Affairs Professor Mohammad Abdel Tawab Abuel-Nour. The event was held under the auspices of Professor Abdel Hamid Abdel Tawab Sabry, President of Fayoum University. A bevy of faculty members, staff, and students attended the event which started by a recitation of the Holy Qur'an, followed by a number of interesting shows. Addressing the graduates, Vice-President Professor Khaled Hamza stated: "I wish you the best of success. I also extend my warm thanks for your faculty members who have done their best to nurture you with what will help you start your careers as teachers." Professor Mohammad Abdel Tawab Abuel-Nour also gave a brief speech, pointing out that basic education is the bedrock of developing a well-cultured generation. He also called for giving teachers their due as they are the tools for education reform. |
