    President of Fayoum University Inaugurates the Forty-fourth University Teacher Preparation Course at the Faculty of Education

   Prof. Yasser MagdyHatata, President of Fayoum University, inaugurated, today, Sunday, 24/7/2022, the forty-fourth university teacher preparation course,in the presence of Prof. Muhammad Said Abu Al-Ghar, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Muhammad Farouk Al-Khabiri, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Muhammad Abdel-TawabAbul-Nour,Dean of the Faculty of Education, Prof. Mustafa Hafidah, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Education for Graduate Studies and Research, and Prof. Amalgumaa, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Education for Community Service and Environmental Development. The course will be held at the Faculty of Education from 24/7/2022 to 28/7/2022.
   Prof. Yasser MagdyHatata confirmed that the university teacher preparation course is the only course stipulated in the Universities Organizing Law No. 49 of 1972 as a prerequisite for appointment to the position of a faculty member at the university, adding that the course is a great opportunity for acquaintance and the exchange of experiences and skills between the faculty members and trainees during the course.
   He indicated that the course focuses on digital transformation, and skills of implementing educational technology in higher education, as well as identifying the foundations of writing a course in an e-learning style, and acquiring skills to deal with the digital library to keep pace with the current development in curricula and electronic exams.
   Prof. Muhammad Said Abul-Ghar stressed the need for students to make maximum use of the scientific material presented by selecteduniversity scientists and leaders, noting that the diversity of specializations of participants in the course from all scientific, literary and human branches is an enrichment of the trainees’ experiences and skills.
   Prof. Muhammad Farouk Al-Khabiri also called for the continuous development of teacher preparation courses in line with technical and technological progress, and to digitize curricula and exams in all university faculties.
   Prof. Muhammad Abdel-Tawab Abu Al-Nour added that the course aims to introduce the university and the role of university education and its importance in the development of society, developing the ability to analyze the main methods of scientific research and methods for developing university education, understanding the rights and duties of faculty members and leaders at the university, gaining Self-evaluation abilities, test preparation skills, and an understanding of the university student’s psychology and educational needs.
   Prof. Mustafa Hafida said that the course will hold a number of lectures, seminars and workshops on a number of topics, including the university's commitments towards faculty members, credit hours, scientific research and its importance, ethics of scientific research, total quality management, the basics of building a university curriculum and its elements, university student psychology, self-management, introducing units of a special nature of the university, fellowship fund, health care, and services provided by the university to faculty members.
