Under the auspices of Dr. Nevine Al-Kabbaj, Minister of Social Solidarity, Prof. Dr. Yasser Magdy Hatata, President of Fayoum University, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Salah Hashem, Advisor to the Ministry of Social Solidarity and General Coordinator of Social Solidarity Units in Universities, Prof. Dr. Assem Al-Absawy, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Within the framework of the implementation of the "Where is your mind?" initiative to confront rumors in the Faculty of Education, Fayoum University, the Social Solidarity Unit at Fayoum University organized a seminar entitled "Rumors and ways to confront them" Thursday 15/12/2022, where she lectured The seminar Prof. Dr. Amal Gomaa, Dean of the Faculty of Education, thanked the attendees for the students during their studies. And the Social Solidarity Unit at the university for its prominent role in supporting outstanding students and its keenness to encourage students, develop their skills and enrich their knowledge and how to confront the rumor, as it dealt with the concept of rumor and the difference between rumor, truth and propaganda, and how rumors affect the individual, especially in the prime of his life, and society, especially in times of epidemics and crises, and how to confront the rumor, and how to pass the rumor on the mind and analyze it. Coinciding with the reception of students for exams this semester, examples of reality dealt with a rumor about changing the date of exams or canceling part of the courses, the effects of rumors at exam times and the consequent destabilization and psychological instability of students during their studies. In the presence of Dr. Ahmed Ali, Vice Dean of the College of Education for Graduate Studies and Research, Dr. Ebtisam Mohamed, Coordinator of the Unit for Combating Violence against Women, and Dr. Sahar Owais, a teacher at the College of Education, the seminar ended with receiving inquiries and questions for students. |
