The Faculty of Engineering held a graduation prom for class 2010 in the Said Soliman Hall on Monday, July 25, 2011. A huge throng of graduates’ family members were present, too. The prom commenced with a recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by a note delivered by University Student Union President Tawfik Mokhtar on behalf of the graduates of the Faculty of Engineering. He thanked his teachers for their appreciated cooperation and efforts to help graduate a new batch of engineers who can make a difference to the Egyptian society. Speaking in the ceremony, Dean Ayman Shahin expressed his happiness with the sense of harmony and teamwork that existed among students and their faculty members. Addressing the graduates, he said: "You are the nucleus of building a new future and a new society that must be led by well-sophisticated, conscious leaders." Taking the floor, Professor Khaled Hamza expressed his joy for attending his first graduation ceremony at the Faculty of Engineering since 15 years. He also urged graduates to be highly sought-after, motivating them to activate their role in the every-day life. In his speech, Professor El Gohary addressed how a new generation should approach work, career and the networks that sustain success. He also stressed that the University would provide support to its graduates through its Alumni Offices.
