Mental health nursing is looking forward to the preparation of distinguished graduate provides health and psychological care in line with the actual academic and clinical needs of the academic at national and international level.
Mission of Mental Health Nursing Department:
Providing excellence scientific and clinical experience for undergraduate students to achieve high quality performance levels to keep pace with scientific and service development in the multimedia mental health fields.
The strategic objectives of the Department of Mental health nursing
- Develop an executive plan for the department in line with achieving its mission.
- Develop an action plan for achieving a comprehensive quality system within the department.
- Developing and updating the research plan of department in line with the research plan of the faculty and needs of the community.
- Strengthening the scientific and research partnership with health agences related to psychological health.
- Developing and raising the capabilities and skills of staff and assistants members in the department.
Brief hint about mental health nursing department:
- Actual work started in the department as one of the faculty's sections in the academic year 2012/2013 under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Nafisa Mohammed Abdul kader, Professor of Psychiatric Nursing, Faculty of Nursing / Cairo University.
- Prof. Dr. Nafisa Mohammed Abdul Kader, Professor of Psychiatric Nursing, Faculty of Nursing / Cairo University continued in supervision of the department until now.
- Delegation of Dr/ Inas Mahrous Abdel Aziz, lecturer of psychiatric nursing/ Faculty of Nursing, Cairo University to teach Psychiatric Nursing (theoretical and practical) and communication skills and human relations for one day per week.
- Psychiatric and mental health Nursing department consists of two lecturer, two assistant lecturer and 4 Demonstrator in the academic year 2014/2015
