Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Arafa Sabry Juma, Dean of the College and Supervisors Prof. Dr. Saleh Abdul Alim Al-Awni Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development The Faculty of Science organized a symposium entitled "Occupational Safety and Health in Laboratories" on Monday 25/9/2017 M at the Seminary Hall, Faculty of Science, Fayoum University. In the presence of Prof. Dr. Arafa Sabry Juma Dean of the Faculty of Science and Prof. Dr. Saleh Abdul Alim Awny Vice Dean for Community Service and Environment Development and the masters of the specialists and technicians of the College and the Faculty members of the faculty and the supporting body. The seminar was given by Dr. Salwa Mohamed Salah Eddin, Where she talked about the necessary instructions to achieve occupational safety and health within the laboratories as well as how to prevent accidents and identify their sources and dangers and safety rules, as well as ways to address the events that may result from the use of chemicals Dangerous and how to protect the plant and equipment from damage and provide a safe environment for the human and material elements. The evidence to be followed in the laboratory was presented before entering and in the laboratory, signs of identification and information such as signs of prevention and signs of gravity and signs of danger as well as rules of safety in the use of glass tools and test tubes and the use of samples Graffiti. The symposium resulted in some requests for the maintenance of laboratories, including the provision of some means of security and safety, as well as providing a special room away from gases and vapors to achieve the standards of safety and safety of the human element within the laboratories and approved by Prof. Dean of the College on these requests.
