Under the patronage of Prof. Hala El-Saeed, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, and Prof. Yasser Magdy Hatata, President of Fayoum University, Prof. Arafa Sabri Hassan, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies, Cultural Relations and Research, supervisor of the Egypt Government Excellence Award at Fayoum University, witnessed the meeting of the award coordinators at the university’s faculties, on Thursday, 14-4-2022, in the conference hall of the Central Library.

The meeting was attended by Prof.
Saleh Al-Awni, Dean of the Faculty of Science, Prof. Gamal Farag, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture for Education and Student Affairs and Director of the Quality Assurance and Strategic Planning Center at the university, and Ms. Hala Al-Swaify, Director General of the General Administration of Public Relations and Media, the prize coordinators at the university, and the coordinators of the faculties and work teams in the various faculties of the university.

Prof. Arafa Sabri stated that the meeting aims to identify the latest preparations of the faculty to participate in the Egypt Government Excellence Award effectively, form work teams and complete the nomination files, in addition to answering the questions of the coordinators and overcoming the obstacles they face.

He indicated that the main purpose of participating in the award is to enrich the spirit of competition and consolidate the behavior of excellence among university employees and faculty members, noting that the submission of the file must clarify the consistency between the resources owned by the faculties and how they are used in an exemplary manner.

For his part, Prof. Gamal Farag stressed the need to make persistent and continuous efforts to work to achieve quality standards within the university’s faculties, praising the great support provided by the university administration to the Center for Quality Assurance and Strategic Planning and the willingness of the center’s administration to assist all university faculties in preparing and completing the nomination file for the Egypt Government Excellence Award.

Ms. Hala Al-Swaify explained that the submission will be available electronically from tomorrow, April 15, 2022, until May 31, 2022, noting that participation in the award is compulsory for faculties established 3 years ago or more, according to the decision of the Egyptian Cabinet, in order to achieve Egypt's Vision 2030, indicating that 18 faculties from Fayoum University are participating in the award this year.
