The President of the University chairs the sixteenth meeting of the Higher Committee of the Community Enlightenment Project The Higher Committee of the Community Enlightenment Project held its sixteenth meeting under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Yasser Magdy Hatata, and in the presence of the members of the committee Prof. Dr. Muhammad Farouk Al-Khabiri, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Arafa Sabri Hassan, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Dr. Assem Al-Essawy, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Prof. Dr. Amal Rabie, Project Manager and Dean of the Faculty of Former Education, Mr. Ashraf Al-Ghandakli, Acting Secretary General of the University, and Mr. Sayed Hassan, Director General of the National Authority for Literacy and Adult Education Branch in Fayoum Governorate.

Prof. Dr. Yasser Magdy Hatata stated that 10,019 illiterates were liberated until the October 2022 session, pointing to Fayoum University's keenness to continue its contribution to providing its services in the community enlightenment project, where the degree of progress of universities is measured by their contribution to the development of the environment and community service, and the axis of illiteracy and adult education is one of the main pillars for the development of Fayoum Governorate, to which the university turned. It is worth noting that during the meeting, many topics were discussed, including a report on the achievements of the project in the comprehensive development convoy in the village of Qasr Al-Jabali, the statistical statement of the result of the initial January session, the number of open classes for the faculties of the university participating in the community enlightenment project, and mechanisms for activating the participation of some faculties such as (tourism and hotels - agriculture - Al-Alsun - rights) in the activities of the project, as well as what has been implemented in the database for illiterates that was sent from the Office of the Governor of Fayoum, as well as the difficulties facing the project and ways to solve them.
