Under the patronage of Prof. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and with the keenness of the University Administration led by Prof. Yasser Hatata, to keep pace with the latest developments in the field of Computer Science and Informatics, the Faculty of Computers and Artificial Intelligence, Fayoum University, headed by Prof. Mohamed Khafaga, Dean of the faculty, participated in the Computer Science and Informatics Sector Committee Conference (CSISCC24) from February 21-22, 2024.

The conference witnessed a significant presence from the faculty, including Prof. Nabila Hassan, former Dean of the Faculty; Prof. Shereen Taie, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research; Prof. Mostafa Thabet, Lecturer in the Department of Information Systems; Dr. Mostafa Rabea Kaseb, Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science; Dr. Ayman Antar, Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science; Dr. Ahmed Salama, Student Communication Officer and Lecturer in the Department of Information Systems; Dr. Shereen Ahmed, Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science; Dr. Esraa El-Hariry, Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science; and Dr. Asmaa Hashim, Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science.

This edition of the conference was held under the theme "The Role of Information Technology in Developing Various Sectors of the Egyptian State in the New Republic." The conference aimed to provide visions, strategies, and methodologies suitable for building an Egyptian knowledge and innovation society in the New Republic through the use of artificial intelligence and modern information technology techniques.

The conference covered several important topics, including empowering communities through Samsung's digital solutions, digital transformation, supporting government decision-making in education, transportation, smart cities, the healthcare sector, and the Decent Life Project. Additionally, it focused on supporting the Egyptian economy, localizing technology, funding computer science and informatics projects, and the role of universities in digital transformation and community support.

The conference, which began yesterday, will conclude today, February 22, 2024, at the Grand Tiba Rose Hotel in Cairo.
