    Big Data Cloud Computing Workshop

    A workshop on "Big Data Cloud Computing" was conducted at the Faculty of Computers and Information in collaboration with the Cairo University's Faculty of Computers and Information. The event was held under the auspices of Prof. Abdel Hamid Abdel Tawab Sabry, President of Fayoum University, Prof. Ahmed Gaber Shedid, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Nabila Mohamed Hassan, Dean of the Faculty of Computers and Information. The workshop was attended by Prof. Fatma Amera, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environment Development, Cairo University's Faculty of Computers and Information, Prof. Mousa Ibrahim, Dean of the October 6 University's Faculty of Information Systems and Computer Science, a research team from the Universities of Fayoum, Cairo and October 6 University, Prof. Magdy Hanna, Former Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Hamdy Mahfouz, Vice Dean for Vice Dean for Education and Students' Affairs, Prof. Mohamed Mohamed Al Rabeay, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environment Development, and Prof. Haythem Al-Feel, a lecturer at the Department of Information Systems. The workshop was conducted in two parts. The first part was about a specialized course about the workshop main theme. Also, a lecture on Data Cloud Computing was conducted via Skype from the TU Berlin. Moreover, Dr. Mohamed Khafaghy gave some examples of computing uses and how to secure data. The second part was a review of some research points submitted by the research team from the Universities of Fayoum, Cairo and October 6 University.
