Conclusion and Recommendations of the Second Conference for Young Researchers at the Faculty of Arts

Under the patronage of Prof. Yasser Magdy Hatata, President of Fayoum University, and under the supervision of Prof. Arafa Sabry, Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research Affairs, Prof. Tariq Abdel Wahab, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Fayoum University witnessed the conclusion of the Second Conference for Young Researchers, “The Challenges of Scientific Research in the Modern Era… the Role of Youth Researchers in Overcoming Obstacles and Achieving Sustainable Development Goals,”, which has been organized by the Faculty of Arts from February 17 to 19, 2024.
The conference was attended by Prof. Ahmed Baqoush, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Hani Abul-Ela, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and Prof. Ahmed Abu Rayyah, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Postgraduate Studies and Research, in the Faculty’s conference hall.
Prof. Tariq Abdel Wahab praised the efforts of the organizing committee of the conference of young researchers at the Faculty, stressing the keenness of the Faculty administration to organize the conference regularly every year with the aim of investing in the efforts and ideas of young researchers at the Faculty.
He called on the young people to uphold the values of the university and scientific integrity in their research, and to enhance their concepts of social and moral responsibility.
For his part, Prof. Ahmed Baqoush explained the importance of holding these conferences to develop the ideas of young researchers, exchange experiences and visions, and encourage innovation and new developments in various scientific researches
Prof. Hani Abul-Ela pointed out the need to strengthen cooperation between research bodies and environmental institutions to work on protecting the environment and promoting environmental sustainability.
He stressed the need to conduct studies to assess the social impact of population redistribution efforts.
Prof. Ahmed Abu Rayyah announced the recommendations of the conference, which included strengthening the role of scientific research and linking it to the needs of the labor market and sustainable development, encouraging young researchers to submit research projects, enhancing access to information through open platforms, and increasing funding and financial support for scientific research that focuses on solving pressing problems.
The conference also recommended the need to offer workshops in the field of translation, scientific writing, and effective communication, and to provide vocational training opportunities with geomatics companies.
In addition to working to provide legal and technical advice to young researchers to protect their intellectual rights, encourage research in the field of artificial intelligence, develop infrastructure and human capabilities in this field, and to work to educate the public about the importance of protecting cultural heritage and raise awareness of its value.
At the end of the session, the chairs of the scientific sessions, the research participants, and the members of the organizing committee were honored.
