Under the patronage of Prof. Yasser Magdy Hatata, President of Fayoum University, and Prof. Assem El-Esawi, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, and under the supervision of Prof. Tarek Abdel Wahab, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Fayoum University, and Prof. Hani Abu El-Ala, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development, the Alumni Follow-up Unit at the Faculty organized a workshop on "Critical and Creative Thinking Skills." Prof. Hanaa Sabri, Director of the Alumni Follow-up Unit, lectured at the workshop in the presence of Prof. Ahmed Farag, Head of the Information Sciences Department at the Faculty, along with faculty members, male and female students, and administrators of the Faculty. This took place on Tuesday, March 5, 2024.

At the beginning of the workshop, Prof. Hani Abu El-Ala, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development, welcomed the attendees and expressed gratitude to Prof. Yasser Magdy Hatata, the University President, and Prof. Assem El-Essawy, the Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, for their support of such important workshops. He emphasized the importance of critical and creative thinking in providing solutions to problems and making decisions, advising students to adhere to reliable sources of knowledge and not to follow rumors. He also emphasized the importance of developing loyalty and citizenship among students and using critical thinking to find innovative solutions to the challenges they face.

On his part, Prof. Ahmed Farag, Head of the Information Sciences Department at the Faculty, welcomed the attendees and highlighted the value of obtaining reliable information from primary sources, praising the organization of such workshops and courses in the community service sector at the Faculty. He expressed his happiness at being invited to attend such workshops.

Prof. Hanaa Sabri gave a presentation explaining critical and creative thinking skills, including the meaning of critical thinking, its components, critical thinking skills, and how to apply it in life for self-development and building a personality capable of decision-making and improving performance in the future. She also addressed the meaning of creative thinking, creative thinking skills, ways of self-development, and thinking outside the box.

At the end of the workshop, a discussion session was opened to answer all questions and inquiries.
