Fayoum University, Egypt Faculty of Dar Al Uloom Department of Islamic Philosophy 2nd International Conference On Philosophy of Change: Eye on Cultural Structure March 1-3, 2012 Preface: The Faculty of Dar Al Uloom invites interested academicians to participate in the Department of Islamic Philosophy 2nd International Conference to be held on March 1-3, 2012. The conference is held under the auspices of President of Fayoum University; Vice-President for Graduate Studies and Research, Dean of Faculty of Dar Al Uloom and Conference Chair Professor Farid Awad Hedar, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research and Conference Vice Chair Professor Abdel Moniem Abu Zayd, and Chair of Department of Islamic Philosophy Professor Ahmed Arafat Al-Kady. It will cover a great deal of topics pertaining to cultural change. Themes: -First Theme: -Necessity for change and its importance -Need for change -Importance of change and its governing rules -Objectives of change and its approaches -Change and community culture -Approaches of messengers and prophets in change -change rules as prescribed in the Holy Koran Second Theme: -Change and the future -Cultural Shift: conditions and plans -Divine laws -Islamic example in change in the past and the present.
