Under the auspices of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the United Company, Fayoum University, and the Student Activities Sector of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Fayoum University participated in the activities of the New Alamein Festival 2024 under the slogan (The World is Alamein) during the period from August 5 to 8, 2024, under the auspices of Prof. Yasser Magdy Hatata, President of Fayoum University, and the supervision of Prof. Asem Fouad Al-Essawy, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs and Acting Vice President of the University for Education and Students Affairs, Prof. Wael Tobar, General Coordinator of Student Activities at the University, and Mrs. Lamia Kassab, Acting General Director of the General Administration of Youth Welfare at the University, where the university participated in the visual arts, five-a-side football, and beach volleyball.

The participation of students in the festival contributes to creating a spirit of cooperation and participation between Egyptian universities, and enhancing sports, artistic, and musical activities among students. This event comes within the framework of the efforts of the Ministry of Higher Education to support and develop the capabilities of Egyptian university youth. It is worth noting that the festival aims to introduce students to the achievements of the Egyptian state on the ground, which enhances their sense of loyalty and belonging and highlights the comprehensive urban development witnessed by the Northwest Coast region, with a special focus on the New Alamein City as a model of development and modernity.
