Prof. Yasser Magdy Hatata, President of Fayoum University, witnessed the reception ceremony for new children in the eighth session of the Children's University 2024, as part of the Children Scientists for a Better Future initiative, under the supervision of Prof. Assem El-Essawy, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs and Supervisor of the Education and Students Sector, and in the presence of Dr. Rahma Moustafa Ahmed, General Coordinator of the Children's University at Fayoum University, and a number of faculty members, new children affiliated with the Children's University and their families, today, Sunday, 8/9/2024, at the university's central library.

Prof. Yasser Magdy Hatata stressed that Fayoum University has made many efforts and endeavors to return and resume the activities of the Children's University, extending his greetings and appreciation to the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology affiliated to the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and praising the interest of parents in enrolling their children in the Children's University in order to hone their skills and talents to become a generation capable of leadership and addressing problems. Prof. Assem El-Essawy said that the Children's University at Fayoum University works to introduce children to the university community and provides them with lectures and workshops that aim to train them in scientific and critical thinking, creativity, and developing their special abilities to face various challenges.

Dr. Rahma Moustafa Ahmed added that the Children's University is an educational project that includes 7 specializations including energy, water, health, biodiversity, humanities, arts, and Egyptology in order to build children's minds and enhance their interest in science, focusing on the importance of scientific research and developing scientific skills.

The ceremony included honoring Dr. Raghda Al-Sawy, Former General Coordinator of the Children's University at Fayoum University.

It is worth noting that the ceremony also included two lectures, on determining the career path for the children of the Children's University, delivered by Prof. Emad Abdel Salam, and another on the activities and services provided by the Children's University, delivered by Dr. Rahma Moustafa.
