As part of the university's role in serving the community, Prof. Yasser Magdy Hatata, President of Fayoum University, welcomed Prof. Arafa Sabry Hassan, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and Prof. Assem Al-Essawy, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development. They, alongside representatives from the Rotary Club El Tagammo Royal and the Zahraa Al-Ehsan Charitable Foundation in Fayoum, attended the " Charity Convoy for School Students" event organized by the university's Community Service and Environmental Development Sector in collaboration with these institutions, with participation from the Faculties of Social Work and Tourism and Hotels. The event was held on Thursday, September 12, 2024, in the Central Library.

The ceremony was attended by Prof. Arafa Sabry Hassan, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research; Prof. Ahmed Hosni, Dean of the Faculty of Social Work; Prof. Ashraf Abdel Maaboud, Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels; Prof. Samir Saif Al-Yazal, Emeritus Professor in the Faculty of Agriculture and former Governor of Beni Suef; Prof. Taha Al-Hasan, Director of the University’s Crisis and Disaster Management Center; Prof. Wael Toubar, General Coordinator of Student Activities; and representatives from Rotary Club El Tagammo Royal, and Zahraa Al-Ehsan Charitable Foundation, as well as several faculty members and school students.

Prof. Arafa Sabry Hassan emphasized that the university is a beacon of knowledge, deeply integrated with the community, and that everyone works together as a cohesive unit. He noted that this event is part of a series of initiatives by the university to support students and the local community by providing school supplies to students, expressing his appreciation for the organizers who contributed to the success of this event.

Prof. Ahmed Hosni expressed his appreciation for the efforts behind this charitable event, which reflects societal solidarity and sends a noble message of giving and unity. He highlighted the university’s role and its duty in promoting social responsibility and supporting school students.

Prof. Ashraf Abdel Maaboud, Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels, stressed the importance of cooperation between university faculties and civil society organizations to hold such events, expressing the college's aim to sign several agreements in this regard and thanking those involved in organizing the event.

In the same vein, Ms. Lubna al-Rashidi, representing Rotary Club " El Tagammo Royal," and Ms. Gihan Salah, representing Zahraa Al-Ehsan Charitable Foundation, praised the joint efforts in organizing this charitable event. They emphasized the importance of continued collaboration between institutions and the university to support school students, extending their gratitude to the university administration for the warm welcome and excellent organization.
