Prof. Yasser Magdy Hatata, President of Fayoum University, attended an awards ceremony celebrating the academic excellence of 102 students who are the children of university faculty and staff for the academic year 2023/2024. The event, organized by the General Administration of Public Relations and Media in collaboration with the Faculty Club (Social Committee), the Sports Committee, and the Staff Union Committee, took place in the Grand Hall of the University on Wednesday, October 2, 2024.

The ceremony was attended by Prof. Arafa Sabry Hassan, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research; Prof. Assem Al-Essawy, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development and Supervisor of Student Affairs; deans and vice-deans of faculties; members of the Faculty Club; and various faculty, staff, and students.

Prof. Hatata congratulated the high-achieving students across various educational levels, expressing his appreciation for the efforts of those who organized this annual event to recognize the accomplishments of students and their families at Fayoum University. He commended parents for their unwavering support, which he noted plays a significant role in their children’s academic success, and encouraged the students to continue striving for excellence in their studies and future careers.

Dr. Nour al-Ramady, President of the Faculty Club, praised the university administration and its support across various sectors. He congratulated parents and students, emphasizing the importance of such achievers in advancing the nation.

Mr. Amr Madi, Assistant Secretary for Financial Affairs, noted that the ceremony included honoring high-achieving students across different educational levels (university, secondary and preparatory school) who are the children of university faculty and administrative staff.

The event included a musical performance by the university choir, led by Maestro Wael Hamdi. Additionally, The Faculty Club Shield was also presented to Prof. Yasser Magdy Hatata, Prof.
Arfa Sabry Hassan, Prof. Asem El-Essawy, Prof. Wafaa Youssef, Head of the Social Committee of the Club, and Mr. Ahmed Rashad, Secretary General of the University. Certificates of appreciation were also presented to the outstanding students in the university, secondary and preparatory stages, and the organizers of the celebration were honored from the Faculty Club, the General Administration of Public Relations and Media, and members of the Sports and Trade Union Committees.
