Prof. Yasser Magdy Hatata, President of Fayoum University, inaugurated the first phase of the second series of electronic testing labs. The ceremony was attended by Prof. Arafa Sabry Hassan, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, Prof. Assem El-Essawy, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development and Supervisor of Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Rania Abu el-Saud, Executive Director of the University’s Information Center and Vice Dean of the Faculty of Engineering for Postgraduate Studies and Research, Dr. Rania Fouad Ahmed, Director of the Electronic Testing Unit, along with several deans, vice-deans, university secretary, faculty members, general managers, and administrative staff. The event took place on Tuesday, October 29, 2024.

It is worth noting that the first phase of the electronic testing labs was dedicated to serving the medical sector. The first stage of the second series has now been completed, which includes 9 fully equipped labs with the latest technology, comprising a total of 940 devices to serve the university’s faculties.

The main objective of establishing these labs is to automate and implement the electronic testing system at Fayoum University. The electronic labs project is a joint collaboration between the Supreme Council of Universities, Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Fayoum University, with the University’s Information Center responsible for establishing the labs. The relevant administrations including: Engineering; Budget; Accounts; Purchasing and Warehouses; Planning; and Strategic administrations, have all contributed to this initiative. The Electronic Testing Unit is responsible for overseeing and managing the labs.

At the conclusion of the inauguration, certificates of appreciation were presented to those involved in the implementation of the electronic labs project, including faculty members and administrative staff.
