A Joint Memorandum of Understanding Between Faculty of Engineering and Samsung Electronics Egypt

Under the patronage of Prof. Yasser Magdy Hatata, President of Fayoum University, Prof. Assem El-Essawy, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, witnessed the signing of a joint memorandum of understanding between Faculty of Engineering and Samsung Electronics Egypt.
It was signed on behalf of Faculty of Engineering by Prof. Sherif Al-Attar, Dean of the Faculty, and on behalf of Samsung Electronics Egypt, by Mr. Mohamed Fathy El-Awady, Head of the Company’s Human Resources Sector, today, Wednesday, June 12, 2024.
Prof. Assem El-Essawy confirmed that the Faculty of Engineering seeks to provide engineering education that achieves national standards by providing a creative environment that contributes to graduating an engineer with the ability to create, innovate and solve problems, as well as contributing to scientific research in a way that enhances the status of the faculty and university in serving the community by benefiting from the capabilities of faculty members, their assistants and administrators.
He also indicated that the memorandum of understanding aims to implement a number of activities and events that benefit the educational level through joint cooperation between the two parties, especially because of Fayoum University’s wide-ranging educational and research experience.
Prof. Sherif Al-Attar explained that the joint memorandum of understanding stipulates that the faculty of Engineering shall internally announce summer training programs and scholarships for Samsung Electronics Egypt, provide data of outstanding students and nominate them for enrollment in the company’s scholarship program, as well as cooperate in the field of preparing and coordinating meetings, and workshops on topics of common interest.
He continued that the memorandum also stipulates that Samsung Electronics Egypt will provide the opportunity for students of the Faculty of Engineering at Fayoum University to apply and participate in the company’s scholarship program, in addition to obtaining summer training programs within the Samsung factory and cooperating with the Fayoum University administration in assisting in a number of development activities that include Benefits for the civil society.
