Within the framework of the presidential initiative “A New Beginning for Building Humanity,” and under the patronage of Dr. Ahmed Al-Ansari, Governor of Fayoum, and Prof. Yasser Magdy Hatata, President of Fayoum University, supervised by Prof. Assem El-Essawy, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development and supervisor of the Education and Student Affairs sector, Prof. Naglaa El-Sherbini, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, and Dr. Sameh Ashmawi, Director of the Health Directorate in Fayoum, the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector organized a medical convoy. This event took place in cooperation with the Faculty of Medicine, the Fayoum Health Directorate, and the Students for Egypt team at the university on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at the health unit in New Fayoum City.

Prof. Assem El-Essawy stated that Fayoum University’s participation in the national human development project, "A New Beginning for Building Humanity," aligns with President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s directives to implement various programs, activities, and services for all age groups. This initiative reflects the university’s mission and the role of the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector in supporting the local community, providing diverse medical services, and raising awareness on social issues.

He added that the day marked the launch of the first medical convoy in New Fayoum City, involving a distinguished group of doctors specializing in internal medicine and pediatrics. A total of 62 cases were examined, including 37 internal medicine cases and 25 pediatric cases.

Prof. Al-Eisawy affirmed that Fayoum University will continue to organize medical, nursing, awareness, and veterinary convoys throughout the duration of the presidential initiative “A New Beginning for Building Humanity” in several villages across Fayoum governorate.
