Under the patronage of Dr. Maya Morsy, Minister of Social Solidarity, and Prof. Yasser Magdy Hatata, President of Fayoum University, Prof. Assem Fouad El-Essawy, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development and Supervisor of the Education and Student Sector, inaugurated the "RED WEEK" campaign at Fayoum University. This campaign is in collaboration with the university's Social Solidarity Unit and the Egyptian Red Crescent. The inauguration was attended by Ms. Asmaa Abdel Qader, Coordinator of the Social Solidarity Unit at the university; Mr. Mahmoud Farag, Director of the Egyptian Red Crescent Society in Fayoum; and several young volunteers, on Tuesday, October 15, 2024.

Prof. Assem El-Essawy explained that the purpose of the "RED WEEK" campaign is to harness the energy of university students by promoting awareness of the importance of volunteer work in serving the community. The campaign is a joint effort between the Egyptian Red Crescent and social solidarity units across 35 Egyptian universities.

He added that the campaign would last for three days at Fayoum University and includes awareness campaigns and provides tips and guidelines aimed at improving students' dietary habits and raising awareness of first aid to promote overall health among students.
