Unit Vision: To elevate the status of the Faculty of Computers and Information at Fayoum University to become an accredited entity capable of achieving competitiveness at the local, regional, and international levels. Unit Mission: The unit strives to disseminate a culture of quality to enhance the educational system and the research and service activities offered by the faculty, in accordance with the standards of the National Authority for Quality Assurance of Education. This aims to gain the trust of beneficiaries in the outcomes of the educational process, thereby achieving competitiveness locally, regionally, and internationally. Definition of Quality Assurance: It is the means of ensuring the achievement of institutional capacity, educational effectiveness, and the application of academic standards derived from the institution's mission. These standards have been defined and achieved in accordance with corresponding national and international standards. The quality of learning opportunities, research, and community engagement is deemed appropriate and meets the expectations of various beneficiaries. Quality assurance is the means of ensuring that the quality of learning opportunities, research, and community engagement is appropriate and meets the expectations of various types of beneficiaries. <br/> Definition of Accreditation: Recognition granted to an institution if it can demonstrate that its programs comply with the announced and approved standards and that it has established systems to ensure quality and continuous improvement of its academic activities, in accordance with the announced regulations set by the accreditation body. <br/> What if accreditation is not obtained? If accreditation is not obtained, all graduates will face the following problems: • Reduced job opportunities in the local, regional, and global markets compared to graduates of accredited colleges. • Graduates of unaccredited colleges will be able to obtain any degree equivalency from an international or even regional college. If they wish to obtain equivalency, they will have to do so through another accredited college. • The college will lose its independent structure and be merged, in name, administration, and academic standing, with another accredited computer science and information college.
