University hosts talented school students

  In order to bring gifted and talented students together to present their innovations and ideas in the field of solar power, Fayoum University hosted a group of gifted students from West Fayoum Directorate of Education on Sunday 7/6/2015.   Upon their arrival, they were received by Professor Farid Awad Hedar, Vice President for Community Service and Environment Development, Professor Khaled Hussein Zaghloul, Vice Dean for Education and Students' Affairs, Professor Nadia Helal Yahia, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environment Development, and Dr. Ahmed Saad, a lecturer at the Department of Physics, and Dr. Hussein Al-Ashairy, Director of Talented Welfare Division at West Fayoum Directorate of Education.   In his remarks, Vice President Hedar stressed the importance of giving due care to the talented and utilizing their abilities. He also urged those in charge to adopt the talented and provide them with real opportunities to present their ideas and innovations as a step towards making them real.   It is worth mentioning that the visit came as per an agreement concluded between the University and Directorate of Education under which 50 students were selected for this one-day visit to the Faculty of Science in order to make them get familiar with its facilities. Moreover, it is planned to hold a training course for those talented students in how to make use of solar power in scientific research.
