Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Taher Hassan Mohamed, Acting Dean of the Faculty and Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Mervat Abdel Hadi Abdel Latif, Acting Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels – Fayoum University organized an awareness seminar on literacy.
The seminar was delivered by Prof. Dr. Amal Rabie, Director of the Community Enlightenment Project at Fayoum University, with the participation of Dr. Bola Hanna, Lecturer at the Department of Tourism Studies and Coordinator of the Community Enlightenment Project at the Faculty.
The seminar addressed the importance of literacy and its role in achieving community development, in addition to highlighting the university’s efforts to support initiatives aimed at raising awareness and enhancing community participation, thereby contributing to building a more conscious society capable of facing developmental challenges.
It also emphasized the vital role of university students in supporting national efforts in the field of literacy and actively participating in community initiatives that aim to uplift society and achieve sustainable development goals.
This comes within the Faculty’s commitment to strengthening its societal role and spreading awareness of developmental issues, thereby contributing to community service and environmental development.
