As part of the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels' vision to enhance its international academic standing and update its educational programs in accordance with the latest global standards in hospitality and hotel management education, the Faculty continues its preparations to launch a joint international program with Vatel Business School – Hotel & Tourism Management in France, one of the world's leading institutions in hospitality management education.

This program comes within the framework of an international academic partnership aimed at providing a distinguished educational experience that combines academic theory and practical application, contributing to preparing graduates equipped with the skills and expertise required to compete in local, regional, and international labor markets.

As part of the preparations to launch the program, Dr. Ahmed Ghaith, Associate Professor in the Department of Hotel Studies at the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels, participated in the foundational training program hosted by Vatel in Nîmes, France, from July 20 to 24, 2026. The training aimed to qualify the academic and administrative teams responsible for executing the joint international program.

The program activities included training on the management system of international academic programs, practical training mechanisms, quality assurance, student services, digital systems, and relations with the hospitality sector, ensuring the implementation of the global Vatel model within the joint academic program according to best international practices.

The joint international program represents a qualitative milestone in the Faculty’s path toward internationalization. It allows students to study modern academic curricula aligned with global hospitality industry needs, leveraging French expertise in education and training to enhance learning outcomes and boost the competitiveness of the Faculty's graduates.

The program also offers students the opportunity to earn a university degree alongside an accredited French certificate from Vatel School. This reflects the Faculty’s commitment to offering academic programs with a global dimension and strengthening its partnerships with prestigious international educational institutions in the field of hotel and tourism management.
