Under the patronage of Prof. Nancy Mohamed Fawzy Gamal El-Din, Dean of the Faculty, and the supervision of Prof. Marfat Abdel Hady Abdel Latif, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, the Community Service and Environmental Development Agency at the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels – Fayoum University organized an awareness seminar entitled "Waste Recycling in Tourism and Hotel Establishments."

The seminar was presented by Dr. Hossam Shaaban, Head of the Environmental Affairs Agency in Fayoum Governorate, with the attendance of a number of faculty members, students, and administrative staff of the Faculty.

The seminar addressed the importance of waste management and recycling, and its modern mechanisms within tourism and hotel sector institutions, within the framework of the Faculty's commitment to raising environmental awareness, enhancing the educational and service process, and instilling the concepts of sustainability among students.
