Under the gracious patronage of Prof. Nancy Mohamed Fawzy, Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels – Fayoum University, and within the framework of the Faculty’s commitment to supporting distinguished educational programs and offering a welcoming and supportive university experience to its new students from the very first day, the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels welcomed First-Level students enrolled in the Sports Tourism Management Program, as their lectures began for the new 2026/2027 academic year.

The first day of study saw a distinguished attendance and turnout of new students, in a scene reflecting their enthusiasm and anticipation as they begin their academic journey in this distinctive specialization that combines the fields of tourism and sports.

The welcome activities included an introductory lecture on the program, addressing its objectives, curriculum content, and the career opportunities it offers graduates in the fields of sports tourism and the management and organization of sports events.

In her welcoming address to the new students, Prof. Nancy Mohamed Fawzy, Dean of the Faculty, affirmed that the university stage represents a true beginning for building the student’s academic and professional character, commending the distinguished turnout for this unique program, and emphasizing the Faculty’s commitment to providing a supportive and integrated educational environment from the first day of study.

For his part, Prof. Taher Hassan, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Education and Student Affairs, affirmed that the Faculty administration is keen on following up with new students from the moment they enroll, and on removing all difficulties in their path to ensure a successful academic start, noting that the Sports Tourism Management Program is witnessing growing demand due to its distinctiveness and its integration of different academic disciplines.

Prof. Mohamed Omar, Coordinator of the Sports Tourism Management Program at the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels, also expressed his pleasure at the strong turnout of new students, affirming the program team’s commitment to delivering distinguished scientific and applied content that prepares students for the labor market, and urging students to be regular and diligent from the beginning of the academic year in order to benefit fully from the program.
