First Weekly Study Visits by the Department of Tourist Guidance to the Memphis Archaeological Area Begin

Under the patronage of Prof. Nancy Fawzy Gamal El-Din, Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels – Fayoum University, the first weekly study visits for students of the Department of Tourist Guidance to the Memphis archaeological area began, within the framework of the Department’s commitment to linking academic study with field application, enabling students to gain direct familiarity with archaeological sites and to train in the skills of explanation, interpretation, and tourist guidance in their authentic setting.

The visit was conducted under the supervision of Prof. Taher Hassan, Acting Vice Dean of the Faculty for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Walid El-Hady Sheikh El-Arab, Chair of the Department Council of Tourist Guidance.

Field supervision and training during the visit were carried out by:

  • Mr. Marwan Hamdoun, Assistant Lecturer at the Department of Tourist Guidance.
  • Mr. Ayman Ahmed, Assistant Lecturer at the Department of Tourist Guidance.

This visit marks the beginning of a series of weekly study visits organized by the Department, within the framework of the Faculty’s commitment to developing students’ scientific and professional skills, and strengthening their ability to read, interpret, and present heritage sites in a scholarly and distinguished manner.
