Under the gracious patronage of Prof. Sherif Mohamed Sabry El-Attar, Acting President of Fayoum University and Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Asem Fouad El-Eisawy, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs and Supervisor of the Postgraduate Studies and Research Sector, the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels hosted the admission tests and personal interviews for students applying to join the Sports Tourism Management Program, amid strong turnout and notable numbers of students wishing to enroll in the program for the 2026/2027 academic year.
The testing sessions were attended by Prof. Sherif Mohamed Sabry El-Attar, Acting President of the University and Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Nancy Mohamed Fawzy, Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels, Prof. Ashraf Abdel Salam El-Abbasi, Dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences, Prof. Taher Hassan Mohamed, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Mahmoud El-Beshihy, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Marfat Abdel Hady, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels for Environmental Development and Community Service Affairs, and Prof. Moataz Ali Hassan, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, along with a number of faculty members, teaching assistant staff, and administrative staff from both faculties.
Prof. Sherif El-Attar toured the testing and interview committees, and confirmed that the process was proceeding smoothly and that the reception of students was well organized, emphasizing the importance of providing every means of comfort and support to applicants, and ensuring the application of clear and disciplined standards throughout the selection process.
Prof. Sherif Mohamed Sabry El-Attar affirmed that the university places great importance on developing and launching distinguished, interdisciplinary academic programs that keep pace with contemporary developments and labor market needs, and that contribute to preparing graduates equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to compete across various fields of work.
He noted that the Sports Tourism Management Program represents a model of integration between different academic disciplines, combining the fields of sports and tourism within an advanced scientific and applied framework, thereby opening new career paths for students that align with contemporary trends in the sports and tourism industry and event organization.
He added that the strong student turnout for the admission tests reflects growing awareness of the importance of distinguished, high-quality programs, affirming the university's commitment to continuing to develop this type of interdisciplinary program in a manner that serves development goals and meets students' future aspirations.
