As part of the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels’ commitment to supporting and enhancing the educational and research process, the Hotel Studies Department Council (Session No. 256) convened on Sunday, April 5, 2026, under the chairmanship of Professor Dr. Hesham Ezzat, Head of the Department, and in the presence of Professor Dr. Tahir Hassan Mohamed, Acting Dean of the Faculty.

The Council commenced its proceedings by approving the minutes of previous meetings, followed by discussions on several matters related to education and students, including:

Proposals for forming examination committees, examiners, and correctors for the spring semester of Hospitality Business Management programs.

Formation of oral and practical examination committees for various programs.

Proposals for forming examination committees for the Bachelor’s program in Hotel Management for the academic year 2025/2026.

The Council also addressed issues related to postgraduate studies and research, such as extending the registration period for a Master’s student and reviewing periodic reports on the progress of research activities.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Council emphasized adherence to academic standards and the continuous development of educational programs to meet labor market requirements and enhance graduates’ competencies.
