Under the patronage of Prof. Nancy Mohamed Fawzy, Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels – Fayoum University, a discussion session (defense) was held on Sunday, August 23, 2026, for the doctoral dissertation submitted by the researcher Ashraf El-Sayed Abdel Nabi El-Haddad, of the Department of Tourist Guidance, entitled:
"Management of Natural Heritage Sites in Central Egypt: Wadi Sarinur Cave and Wadi El-Assiuty - A Case Study"
The examination and evaluation committee was composed of:
- Prof. Waheed Attia Mohamed Emran, Professor of Tourist Guidance, Faculty of Tourism and Hotels – Fayoum University, Chair and Supervisor.
- Prof. Ahmed Niazy El-Borkouky, Professor of Geology, Faculty of Science – Cairo University, and Member of the National UNESCO Committee for Natural Heritage, Examiner.
- Assistant Professor Ahmed Salama Mohamed Suleiman, Advisor to the Minister of Environment for Natural Protectorates, Supervisor.
- Assistant Professor Mohamed Fayek Ismail, Assistant Professor at the Department of Tourist Guidance, Faculty of Tourism and Hotels – Fayoum University, Examiner.
The committee commended the researcher's scholarly level and the seriousness of the study presented, which addressed the management and protection of natural heritage sites in Central Egypt.
