Under the patronage of Prof. Nancy Mohamed Fawzy, Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels – Fayoum University, the doctoral dissertation defense was held today, Wednesday, August 26, 2026, for the dissertation submitted by the researcher Nasser Ahmed Nael Mohamed, of the Department of Hotel Studies, entitled:

"Recent Trends in the Application of the Metaverse in the Hotel Sector: An Exploratory Study"

The examination and evaluation committee was composed of:

• Prof. Mohamed Abdel Wahab Morsi, Emeritus Professor, Department of Hotel Studies, Faculty of Tourism and Hotels – Fayoum University, Chair and Examiner.

The committee commended the researcher's scholarly level and the seriousness of the topic addressed, which deals with the latest technological trends in the hospitality and hotel sector.
